J-CAP is a community-based agency serving the health and human service needs of southern Queens and other New York City residents. The agency provides treatment and support services to those affected by HIV/AIDS as well as drug and alcohol abusers. Agency programs seek to address both the physical and emotional needs of the individual in order to achieve a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

With its residential treatment facilities, day treatment program, certified Medical Unit, HIV/AIDS testing/case management, J-CAP provides a continuum of services to assist the recovering client in maintaining long-term abstinence.

All agency clients receive information, HIV testing (by consent), comprehensive medical and case management services (if seropositive) through the agency's Living Proof HIV/AIDS primary care program.
