How to Bleed Your Radiator

When you need to bleed your radiator, here are some of the steps that you should follow. First of all you need to get a radiator key which you will use to bleed your radiator. If you have a carpet below your radiator, make sure that you have covered it before you start the bleeding process. This will prevent any spillage from the radiator from damaging the carpet.

The first step involved in radiator bleeding is heating it up. You should turn off the central heating system once the radiator is fully heated up. Open the bleed valve at the end of the radiator using your radiator key. You should bind your key with a cloth to absorb any water that might leak from the valve. After opening the bleeding valve, turn on the heating system to remove any excess air from the radiator. Wait for sometime before turning off the heat and closing the valve.
